Yoga For Seniors and Special Populations

A great class for the beginning student and any student who has a chronic condition, such as hip, knee, low back or shoulder pain. Poses in this class are carefully sequenced to build flexibility and improve core strength, while taking care to avoid stressing the joints. Michelle will guide you slowly through a balanced practice using both yoga and Yamuna Body Rolling, in an effort to improve breathing and restore posture.
This class will incorporate a variety of props, including soft balls, blocks, chairs and the wall, to ensure poses are accessible to all. A student in this class should be able to get up and down from the floor without assistance.
Join us for 4 afternoons to learn how to stand taller and move more freely for a lifetime!
