In these times when we are exposed to constant messages and information, we are often bombarded with upsetting news. This can breed a sense of fear and anxiety, which can show up in our practice through unconscious patterns of muscle tension and shallow breathing. How can we create a mindful practice to unlock these holding patterns and foster physical, mental and emotional strength?
Join Michelle for a fun-filled afternoon to answer these questions and more through an exploration of backbends and twisting poses. Experience a dynamic practice designed to safely “play your edge”, as we build inner and outer strength. Incorporating alignment principles of Iyengar and Anusara yoga as well as Tom Meyers’ Anatomy Trains®, we will learn how to untuck the tail to resolve unconscious fear, open the heart and free the spine both on and off the mat.
This practice is designed for the curious yogi who has been practicing at least 6 months, as well as the intermediate yogi who is ready to deepen his/her practice.
