The Restorative Center presents Fall Yoga Series – 2 Options

October 19 - December 9

Unwind, relax and renew – Choose the session that is right for YOU

Move better. Breathe better. Live better. With a yoga practice tailored for your needs. Just in time for the holidays, this gentle 7-week series offers two options to meet you where YOU are and allows you the opportunity to unwind, restore and renew in a safe and supportive environment. Designed for the client who prefers a smaller, intimate, boutique-style setting, each series of Gentle Level 1 and 2 is carefully designed to progress you safely through a practice to melt away stress and calm those frayed nerves, while also building functional strength to keep you moving with ease in your daily life. Become empowered with practical knowledge and self-care tools to successfully manage your own health and wellbeing.

In order to provide for a safe environment for all, class size will be very limited to 4 students. If class is full, you may be placed on the waitlist or choose an online option. Please register early to secure your spot.

And rest assured that Michelle, Lisa and Loretta are keeping your health and safety in mind. We continue to go above and beyond all COVID protocols. Please see https://www.restorativecentermbs.com/ to review our procedures for class.

 Class descriptions:

Join Michelle at The Restorative Center for small, intimate classes gentle enough for your body and tailored to YOU. Build confidence as we progress at your own pace and level through a strategic upbuilding of body and mind. Each class includes plenty of feel-good yoga and time to unwind, let go and turn inward to cultivate breath and well-being for mind, body and spirit.

 Breathe and Restore Gentle 1:

Find a sense of stability and ease through a breath-focused and slow-paced class. Guided by the breath, each class includes movement and meditation that is designed to be gentle on the body. We will incorporate yoga, somatic movement and Yamuna® Body Rolling to improve posture, build functional strength and release chronic tension. Use of a chair and other props allows us to protect the joints and safely explore a variety of poses. This class is accessible to all body types and will not include Sun Salutations. In addition, floor work will be limited and include chair options to suit individual needs.

 Breathe and Renew Gentle 2:

Find a sense of stability and ease through a breath-focused and slow-paced class. Guided by the breath, each class includes movement and meditation that is designed to be gentle on the body. We will incorporate yoga, somatic movement and Yamuna® Body Rolling to improve posture, build functional strength and release chronic tension. Using a variety of props and other modifications, our movement will involve poses to awaken and energize and will include getting up and down from the floor, as in a lunge, Down Dog, or other pose. Suitable for all bodies with this mobility.

FAQ’s:
  • How do I know which class is for me?
    • Choose the level of class that works best for your individual needs. Please see class descriptions for details, or reach out to Michelle for questions.
  • What if I register for a level and then want to switch levels?
    • If there is space in the other class, you are welcome to change. If the other class is full or the time doesn’t suit you, there will always be modifications available to tailor either level to your particular needs. And with the classes kept so small, Michelle will be able to help you adapt the class to your body and needs.
  • I have specific needs and am concerned about doing a group class.
    • Space will be limited to the first 4 participants to register. There will not be any drop-ins allowed due to space restrictions and in order to build community and to allow for safe progression of the class. This boutique-style class will allow you to personalize the experience to meet your needs.
  • What if I have to miss a class?
    • By purchasing one this as a series, you are benefitting from a reduced rate as compared to normal class pricing. This allows you to miss if needed without feeling guilty about the cost! In addition, there may be a makeup class offered at the end, if needed.
  • What if businesses have to shut their doors again due to COVID?
    •  If, in response to COVID, the center must close prior to 12/9/20, payments will be refunded for remaining classes minus a processing fee for credit card purchases.
  • Why can’t I just wait and pay for each class when I am able to attend?
    • Many studies show that by committing to a limited series, you stand a better chance of actually staying motivated to show up. In addition, it is safer and there is a lower risk of injury when you progress through a series of classes rather than showing up intermittently.
