Experiential Anatomy – Lower Body, Legs and Hips

What does a balanced hip or shoulder really mean? How do tight hips affect my back? Which muscles are limiting or enhancing my practice? Learning about the anatomy of the body can help deepen your own yoga practice and teach you how to problem-solve for yourself or other students.


Join Michelle Gregovic in these two hands-on workshops as we use Yamuna Body Rolling to discover the major muscles of the upper torso and shoulders, as well as the lower body and back. In addition, we will cover common injuries and how to prevent them. If you find learning anatomy to be intimidating, then this experiential approach may help make it more personal and practical for you.

Learning about your body and how it moves can help you to:

  • Reduce risk of injury, as you grow your own practice safely.
  • Problem-solve for your own body to find maximum range of motion.
  • As a teacher, learn to sequence safer and more effective classes to open these areas.

Investment: $45 or $75 when combined with Upper Body workshop on December 3.

Each workshop counts as 3.5 contact hours for Yoga Alliance.
