Come bliss out with Michelle and Mary as you learn to give and receive the ancient art of Thai Yoga!
With roots in the healing traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda, this mode of therapy is designed to be beneficial for both the giver and receiver. The giver uses gentle and rhythmic compressions, along with stretches and breathing, to bring about a blissful state in the receiver. The compressions involve the feet, knees, palms, elbows, forearms and fingers. Some describe it as “having yoga done to you,” while you, as the receiver, completely relax. Unlike a massage, Thai Yoga does not use any oils and is done in typical yoga attire while lying on a soft pad on the floor.
In this class, you will get an opportunity to give and receive. You will learn techniques you can use to relieve stress for yourself and others. Give the gift of learning to yourself. Also, when shared with others, there will be a positive form of non-verbal communication and a loving exchange between friends, spouses, parents and children.
Come with a friend or come by yourself. No yoga experience required; however, a willingness to try new things and have fun while making friends is encouraged! Cost: $50 pre-registration/$60 at the door.
